My legislative priorities include enhancing our education system, making health care more affordable and accessible, creating and preserving jobs, easing traffic congestion and assisting senior citizens. I'm fortunate to be on House committees that coincide with some of my legislative priorities: Health Care, Trade and Economic Development and Transportation.

Rep. Jay Rodne was appointed to fill the seat left vacant by Cheryl Pflug in January 2004. A marine reservist, attorney, and community leader, Jay has lived in Snoqualmie Valley since 1999. In 2001, Jay was elected to the Snoqualmie City Council and, since that time, has chaired the city council's Public Safety Committee. Jay has seen active duty in both the 1991 Persian Gulf War and the recent Iraqi War.
